Overview Business Consulting Legal Associates
Entities

Three practices. One coherent partnership.

Each entity operates with autonomy in its domain while remaining accountable to the firm's unified standards. The client deals with one firm, not three separate providers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from clients considering engagement with InvestPro. If your question is not addressed here, please contact us directly.

Every engagement begins with a structured discovery phase, typically one to two meetings, during which we understand your objectives, constraints, timeline, and risk tolerance. Following discovery, we prepare a written proposal with scope, deliverables, timeline, and fee structure. Upon agreement, we commence work. Deliverables are reviewed by a managing advisor before reaching the client.

Fees are agreed upfront before work begins and are not contingent on transaction completion. We offer fixed fees for well-defined scopes and time-based arrangements for ongoing advisory relationships. We believe this aligns our incentives with the client's interests: we are paid for thoroughness, not for closing.

We work with both. Our client base includes international corporations, regional investment funds, Vietnamese enterprises, and individual investors. The legal and commercial challenges differ by client type, and we tailor our approach accordingly.

We operate with full nationwide coverage. Our headquarters are in Hanoi. We do not provide advisory services for jurisdictions outside Vietnam, though we coordinate with international counsel when transactions have cross-border elements.

We conduct a conflict check before accepting any engagement. If a conflict exists — whether actual or perceived — we disclose it to the affected parties and decline the engagement if necessary. We do not represent both sides in a transaction.

Our team is fluent in Vietnamese and English. All legal documents are prepared in Vietnamese, with English translations provided where required. Business advisory materials are typically prepared in the client's preferred language.

For a standard foreign-invested enterprise, the process from application to operational readiness typically takes eight to twelve weeks. This includes IRC and ERC issuance, capital account opening, tax registration, and labour registration. Complex structures or conditional business lines may extend this timeline.

Yes. Our attorneys represent clients in economic and civil proceedings before courts and arbitration panels throughout Vietnam. We handle matters from inception through the completion of the appeals process. We also advise on alternative dispute resolution where appropriate.

Due diligence is integrated into every transaction engagement. We conduct multi-workstream investigation covering financial, legal, tax, commercial, and technical aspects. The scope and depth are calibrated to the transaction size, sector, and the client's specific concerns. We do not offer due diligence as a standalone product.

Yes. Many clients engage us on a retainer basis for ongoing legal and advisory support. This arrangement provides priority access to our team, regular compliance monitoring, and strategic counsel as circumstances evolve. Retainer terms are customised to the client's needs.

Retainer clients receive regular regulatory briefings. All clients may access our insights archive, which we update with analysis of significant regulatory developments. For matters that directly affect a client's operations, we provide targeted alerts and recommended actions.

We have substantial experience in manufacturing, technology, renewable energy, healthcare, consumer goods, and real estate. That said, our approach is to understand the specific business and legal dynamics of each engagement rather than apply sector templates. We decline engagements where we believe another firm is better positioned to assist.
